Now with the passing of both our Founders, Kirby and Lida Hensely, I strongly encourage newly ordained Ministers to read the Founder's writings and to take the courses offered by the ULC.

Both Revs. Kirby and Lida Henseley fought long and hard for their ideals to make it possible for most of the religious freedom we are experiencing today. His writings are as relevant and pertinent as they were decades ago, if not more, and it was with her encouragement and support that he was able to succeed in getting his message out to the world. The other courses the church offers focus on empowering us not only as Ministers, but as individuals and are beneficial to all.

ULC teaches us to look at life realistically. We are encouraged to look into our psyches and recognize where our emotions are coming from and how we direct them. Most importantly, we are told the TRUTH while encouraged to explore, where other churches discourage their Ministers to journey. Our limitations exist only in our minds due to our programming and the external influences that we allow to affect us. We each are wonderful, beautiful human beings worthy of love, especially self-love. This message is repeatedly told to us in ULC's teachings by its Founders, whereas traditional churches instill fear and that we must wait for the good life at our deaths! ULC proves them wrong.

Unlike traditional and fundamentalist churches we are encouraged to eat from the forbidden tree of knowledge and to consider that the seed exists in ourselves. We are not powerless and dependent on anyone for religious, or any other, direction and approval. Because of both the Founders efforts, as a society and as individuals, we are now free to openly break from the "born sinner" mold and emotional bondage from our childhoods based on reward and punishment. We are born free! We are all ordained at birth! So what is this Ministry stuff all about? That a church is just a business? That the current greed and unethical behavior performed by many is not going unnoticed?

READ, READ, READ, especially history on religion as when you do, you will see the connection of Rev. Kirby Hensely's claims of us being brainwashed as a society and individually by both organized religion and the government. Think for yourself, believe in yourself and give thanks to the pioneers and visionaries before you who have made and still are making this all possible.

As ULC Ministers, we are the leaders in a revolution leading toward Universal Order and Brotherhood. What does it mean to you? It is our responsibility to learn, not for the church to teach us. Do you understand this? When we look for direction we are giving our power away, they only guide us and as any good mother (church) will do, will be for there, for us in our time of need.

Remember, ULC teaches it is our hearts that will lead us to Universal Order and Brotherhood as when we do that which is right, goodness (God) prevails. We are born free and as any good parent hopes for its children, that its guidance will lead its child to the fuller life. God bless.
